General information on data protection according to EU GDPR
(A) Controller and Data Protection Officer

Responsible for the processing of personal data pursuant to Art. 4 No. 7 EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the person named in the imprint, which can be reached at the address given there.

(B) Collection of Personal Information

When you visit my website, only the data that your browser automatically transmits to the server (hosting at ionos.de) is collected:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of your access
  • Web page from which you access our website
  • Requested website and embedded files
  • Type and version of your browser
  • Operating system

The aforementioned data is collected for the purpose of displaying the website to you and ensuring stability and security.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f GDPR. My legitimate interest arises from the aforementioned purpose of data collection.

The data is stored temporarily in the server’s log files.

Since this data collection is absolutely necessary for the operation of the website, there is no possibility of objection.

(2) If you  subscribe to the newsletter or other e-mail updates, I store the following data:

  • E-mail address
  • Name (if provided by you)
  • IP address (automatic)
  • Date and time of registration and confirmation (automatic)

The only mandatory information is your e-mail address. The provision of further data is voluntary and serves to address you personally.

The collection takes place in the so-called double opt-in procedure: After your registration, you will receive an e-mail with a confirmation link to the e-mail address provided. Only after you have clicked on it, your e-mail address will be added to our mailing list.

The aforementioned data is collected for the purpose of proving your registration and being able to send you newsletters and email updates.

The legal basis is your explicit consent, which you have given with your registration (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter a GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the service via a link at the bottom of each newsletter or email update. After unsubscribing, the data collected for shipping will be deleted.

(C) Transfer of data and transfer to third countries

(1) Personal data will not be transmitted to third parties for purposes other than the following. I will only share your data with third parties on the basis of:

  • Your explicit consent (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter a GDPR)
  • for the fulfilment of (pre-)contractual obligations (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter b GDPR)
  • due to a legal obligation (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter c GDPR)
  • on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f GDPR)

(2) If data is processed in a third country (i.e. outside the European Union or the European Economic Area) or if this occurs in the context of the use of third-party services or disclosure or transfer of data to third parties, this shall only take place under the conditions specified in paragraph 1.

Subject to legal or contractual permissions, we process or have the data processed in a third country only if the special requirements of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR are met. This means that the processing is carried out, for example, on the basis of special guarantees, such as the officially recognised determination of a level of data protection equivalent to that of the EU or compliance with officially recognised special contractual obligations (so-called “EU standard contractual clauses”).

(D) Cookies

(1) The website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are assigned to the browser you are using and stored on your hard drive by a characteristic string of characters and through which certain information flows to the place that sets the cookie. Cookies are used to make the website as a whole more user-friendly and effective, i.e. more pleasant for you.

Cookies may contain data that makes it possible to recognise the device used. In some cases, however, cookies only contain information about certain settings that are not personally identifiable. However, cookies cannot directly identify a user.

A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and permanent cookies, which are stored beyond the individual session.

(2) This website uses the following types of cookies:

  • Technical cookies: these are strictly necessary to move around the website, use basic functions and ensure the security of the website; they do not collect information about you for marketing purposes and do not store which pages you have visited.
  • Performance cookies: These collect information about how you use this website, which pages you visit and e.g. if there are any errors in the use of the website; they do not collect any information that could identify you – all information collected is anonymous and is only used to improve this website.

Under certain conditions, third-party cookies are also set.

(3) The legal basis for the use of technically necessary cookies is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest follows from the above-mentioned purpose of data collection. Some functions of this website cannot be offered without the use of technically necessary cookies.

The use of cookies, which are not absolutely technically necessary, is only based on your explicit and active consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

(4) You can reject cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. You can configure your browser to reject third-party cookies or cookies in general. We would like to point out that if you change your browser settings, you may not be able to use all the functions of our website.

(E) Statistics and evaluations

(1) I use the analysis tools of ionos on my website. In this way, I analyze how the individual pages are visited (visit frequency, duration of visit, bounce rate). For this purpose, we use cookies (see § 4 of this privacy policy), which are stored on your hard drive.

(2) Since the software is installed on the ionos server and the storage is encrypted, no data is transmitted to third parties as part of the user analysis. In addition, no reference to your person can be established.

(3) The purpose of the data collection is to further improve the service by means of the statistics obtained. The legal basis for the collection is your explicit and active consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

(F) Embedded Content

(1) My website embeds content such as videos, images and texts (embedded content; For a list, see paragraph 6).

(2) As soon as you activate embedded content, a connection to the server of the respective provider is established and the respective provider receives the information that you have accessed our website with your IP address. In addition, further data referred to in § 2 (1) of this data protection declaration may be transmitted.

(3) The legal basis is your explicit and active consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future (see § 14 of this privacy policy).

(4) If you have an account with the respective provider and are logged in there, you enable the provider to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your account.

(5) Due to the embedding, the servers of the respective provider are called up for technical reasons. Since this is responsible for the associated processing of data from your browser, we refer to its privacy policy (para. 5).

(G) Rights of data subjects

(1) You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

(2) You also have the right to:

  • To revoke your consent at any time (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR). As a result, I will no longer continue the data processing based on this consent for the future and will discontinue related services (e.g. newsletter dispatch).
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data is not lawful (Art. 77 GDPR). A list of German regulators can be found here: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html
(H) Right to object

(1) Insofar as the processing of your personal data is based on the pursuit of legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), you may object to the processing. If you wish to object, I will ask you to explain the reasons why I should not process your personal data as I did. In the event of your well-founded objection, I will examine the situation and either discontinue or adapt the data processing or show you my compelling legitimate reasons on the basis of which I continue the processing.

(2) Of course, you can object to the processing of your personal data for the purposes of individual advertising and data analysis at any time.

(3) Please send your objection to the person and address mentioned in the imprint.

(I) Up-to-dateness and modification of this Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is currently valid and has the status of November 2023.
